Kathmandu – Dr. Sujan Kadaria has won as President from the 24th General Convention of ANNFSU (All Nepal National Free Students Union). Kadaria won by defeating his competitor Prakash Paudel by a margin of 7 votes.
Kadaria received 732 votes while Paudel got 725 votes. According to the election results announced by the election committee last night, Bikash Shrestha won as Vice President with 708 votes. His competitor Rajkumar Dhakal received 429 votes. For Women’s Vice President, Anjana Shivakoti won with 775 votes while Aarti Bhattarai received 321 votes. Dipak Dhami won as General Secretary with 785 votes. His competitor R.K. Roms received 554 votes. For Deputy General Secretary, Kamal Joshi received 816 votes. His closest competitor Premika Shahi got 474 votes. Three Secretaries were elected: Akash Gharti Magar with 360 votes, E. Rachana Sapkota with 304 votes, and Samim Babu Khan with 273 votes.

The convention that started on Jestha 25 (June 8) at the Auditorium Hall in Kirtipur held elections yesterday after attempts to reach consensus failed. ANNFSU has imposed an age limit of 32 years for the first time.
